Hello, I’m Masa.

Note: I’m currently only fluent in Japanese. If you’d like to reach out in English, I’m happy to communicate in writing (text/email).

Masa

I work in the following areas:

Advisory (PoC strategy, AI and data-related fields)

Performance Advisor

Sparring Partner (support for thinking through ideas and structured dialogue)

(If we’ve connected before, I believe my full name has already been shared via business cards or social media.)

Experiences

I have worked on numerous AI/ML/data utilization projects, mainly focusing on PoC initiatives and recovery support.
My involvement spans from strategy and implementation to project management.

I also have extensive experience in managing mission-critical projects.
With expertise in performance, I’ve helped turn around underperforming teams and recover troubled projects.

Examples of activities include:

  • Comprehensive consulting for AI/data projects:
executive-level support, strategy and planning, rapid analysis and prototyping
  • Launch and recovery of AI/data initiatives:
support for project leaders and business owners in large organizations
  • Recovery of prolonged PoC efforts:
revisiting project design, aligning strategy with technical feasibility
  • Project management for medium-to-large scale efforts:
e.g., 50+ team members, major infrastructure projects in the Tokyo area

Areas of Expertise

  • PoC strategy / redesigning and aligning business-technology scenarios
  • Management and execution of AI/data projects (excluding infrastructure)
  • Performance (cognitive and behavioral science, psychology, learning and adaptive strategies)

Supplement: On the “Performance” Domain

This area is not something I’ve studied through formal training or certifications, but rather through my own practice, observation, and deep exploration.

By “performance,” I refer to a domain of support that centers on the structure of the mind, body and decision-making—drawing on perspectives from psychology, cognition, behavior, and learning/adaptive strategies.

In practice, this includes turning around struggling teams, redesigning overloaded work environments, and guiding individuals in their own career development—all with the aim of driving meaningful change in the way people work.

Note: I was once invited to be evaluated by a well-known global coaching organization, and was fortunate to be highly rated for my capability and experience—enough to be exempted from standard certification requirements.
While the “performance” domain I work in is distinct from conventional coaching, I hope this gives a helpful reference point.

Work History

  • Global consulting firm with a focus on data and analytics
  • One of Japan’s largest infrastructure manufacturers, involved in mission-critical systems for urban rail and transit systems in the Greater Tokyo area
  • Additional roles across several firms in data and management domains

(Full company name withheld here due to the sensitive nature of recovery projects.)
